what is Scanbrix and why we made it

Architects, interior designers, contractors, real estate professionals — you chose these careers to design, create, build, and imagine. Not to spend three days redrawing a floor plan that already exists in the real world. Scanbrix exists to reclaim that time. We convert physical spaces into accurate, editable models — and we keep building tools that eliminate every repetitive task standing between professionals and their best work.

what is scanbrix

We didn't build a scanning app.

We built time back into your day.

There's a particular kind of frustration that professionals in architecture and design rarely talk about out loud — because it's been the background noise of the industry for so long it feels normal.

You visit a site. You measure everything manually. You go back to the office and spend hours — sometimes days — rebuilding that space inside Revit or SketchUp. Then you discover the measurements were slightly off, or the software import was messy, and you fix it. And only then, you start the actual work.

The work you trained for. The work that requires your eye, your expertise, your creative judgment. That work gets pushed to later, because earlier is full of tasks that feel necessary but are fundamentally mechanical.

Scanbrix was built to change that ratio. To push the mechanical earlier and out of the way — so the creative, the technical, the meaningful starts sooner.

"The competition isn't another scanning app. It's the old way of doing things — and all the time it silently takes from you."

Our scanning quality is not a compromise. LiDAR capture, video reconstruction, and our processing pipeline produce geometry that is accurate, scaled, and clean enough to work with directly in professional software. We don't ask you to scan with us and model elsewhere. We handle the full conversion — scan in, usable model out.

Solution 01

LiDAR Capture

Your iPhone. Your site. A professional model by tomorrow.

LiDAR sensors on iPhone Pro models produce millimetre-level depth data — the same underlying technology that used to require a £15,000 scanner. Our iOS app puts a clean, purpose-built capture experience around that sensor.

You walk the space. You scan. You submit. Our team processes the scan data — cleaning geometry, snapping walls to true planes, correcting scale — and delivers a Revit, SketchUp, or AutoCAD-ready model within 1–2 business days.

No new hardware. No specialist training. No day-long site surveys for a space that just needs to be documented.

Old way

With Scanbrix

Full-day site visit with measuring team

One person, one phone, one walkthrough

Manual sketch → digital redraw

Submit scan from the site

Days of modelling before design can begin

Usable model delivered in 1–2 business days

Return visits when dimensions are wrong

Solution 02

Video to 3D

No LiDAR. No problem. Just hit record.

Not everyone has a LiDAR-enabled device — and not every workflow needs one. Video to 3D removes the hardware requirement entirely. Record a walkthrough of any space with any smartphone camera, and we reconstruct it into a clean, scaled, editable model.

This matters most for teams that need to move fast at scale: real estate agencies documenting dozens of properties, contractors capturing pre-construction site conditions, designers doing preliminary surveys before committing to a full engagement.

The barrier to digitizing a space is now: do you have a phone? That's it.

Old way

With Scanbrix

Specialized hardware required

Any smartphone camera works

Expensive equipment to rent or buy

No equipment cost

Training required to capture well

Zero learning curve

Many spaces simply don't get documented

Every space can be digitized affordably

Solution 03

AI Studio

From model to presentation — without the outsourcing.

Getting a model into Revit used to be the finish line. Now it's the starting line for everything that follows: renders, concept visualizations, client presentations, design iterations, collaborative reviews. Work that previously meant briefing an external 3D artist, waiting days, reviewing a result that's 70% right, briefing again.

AI Studio collapses that loop. It's a suite of tools built specifically for architecture and design workflows — all in one place, all available the moment your model is ready.

  • Sketch to Render

Turn a rough sketch or concept drawing into a photorealistic render. Show clients what you're imagining before you've drawn a line in CAD.

  • Revit / SketchUp to Render

Feed your working model directly into the renderer. No export pipeline, no intermediate formats. Model to presentation in minutes.

  • Reimagine

Take any photo of a space and transform it — new materials, new lighting, completely different aesthetic. Powerful for client concept conversations.

  • Image to 3D

Convert a photograph of any object or space into a 3D model. Useful for furniture, fixtures, or any physical element you want to bring into your workflow.

  • Whiteboard

A real-time collaborative space for design teams. Sketch, annotate, and iterate together — even when you're not in the same room.

More tools, constantly

AI Studio is a growing platform. We ship new tools as the workflows we hear about from professionals demand them.

The common thread across every AI Studio tool: they exist to reduce the gap between what you're imagining and what you can show. Faster iteration. More confident client conversations. Less time waiting for outputs that are already inside your head.

What this is really about

People become architects because they want to shape how spaces feel. Interior designers because they understand how environments affect the people in them. Contractors because they take pride in building things that last. Real estate professionals because they understand the value of place.

None of those reasons involve spending hours manually redrawing a room that already exists, or waiting three days for a render of something you designed in an afternoon, or going back to a site a second time because the first measurements weren't reliable.

Those tasks are theft. They steal from the hours you have, the energy you bring, and the work you were actually meant to do.

Scanbrix was built to give that back. Not through gimmicks — through tools that are accurate, reliable, and built specifically for the way professionals in this industry actually work.

We're opening the platform publicly now. Every tool described here is available today. And we're building more — because there's still more time to give back.
